Planet of the Apes (1969) Movie Review: The Salty Nerds just can't get their stinkin' paws off this classic Charlton Heston science fiction film where he plays the manliest (and most misogynistic) man ever on a planet where primates reign supreme. Based on a French Novel loosely translated to "Monkey Planet," this is a movie that feels relevant to current day issues, even though it was made way back in the 60s. And a ton of memes as well as one of the most iconic endings ever owes their existence to this film.
