Well, Wildcards has been a book series that George R.R. Martin has edited for decades. They are a collection of stories from multiple authors set in a singular universe where superheroes exist and have impacted the course of history.
Though George R R Martin isn't the sole author of the Wild Cards super hero universe, he acts much like Kevin Fiege does for Marvel in overseeing it. And now, he's turning Wild Cards into a TV show!
